Camouflage - Where Has the Childhood Gone - 1988

German Synth-Pop Trio formed in Germany around 1984; released their full length debut in 1988 titled "Voices & Images" resembling the style of already huge Synth Pop Stars Depeche Mode. Their debut album managed to scatter a few singles in the modern rock and dance scene. Singles such as The great Commandment even searched the top of the charts in 1988/89. Eventually their popularity decreased towards the end of the decade, until they faded away from the "main stream" scene. Nonetheless they keep recording and releasing albums during the 90's and well into the 00's. One of the less popular singles to come out of the Voices & Images Lp is "Where Has the Childhood Gone" ; to the point of not having been uploaded yet...or maybe it has been deleted by Youtube? Not sure; however here it is for your listening pleasure.

On the contrary it is listened from those who want to step aside from the mainstream pop. This cult band, beyond its music, has been inspiration for many also for its original style in the videoclips. The choreographer M. Gerardi has drawn exactly from there his ideas and worked following the song-texts and the rhythms to develop a dance piece leaning on the particular image of the band. Not only youngsters will appreciate the dynamic flow of these dancers, crowned by the strong presence of R. Mazilu, who conquer the stage with cool moves, dancing on original and re-mixed hits of Depeche Mode' s earlier and newer creations.
